Gratitude for your last year in businessNov 11, 2022
Do you ever feel like you’re not where you need to be with your business and financial goals??
I’m right there with you. It’s tough to watch others build multi-million dollar businesses - or have big launches - from the sidelines. Even though we are happy for those business owners!
It’s easy to get caught up in the comparisons. The “Keeping up with the Joneses” attitude towards business.
And it’s really easy to slip into a funk where all you can think about is why you aren’t where you want to be…
But in truth, you’re right where you need to be.
For many of us these will become the good ol’ days. The days of discovery and excitement where you don’t really have to answer to many and your business is so simple that you alone (or a small team) can run it.
Because with greater business results comes greater challenges. Our challenges don’t go away as things take off. Sure, it’s nice not to stress about money. But when you hit that point the stresses become much more intense.
Things like time become the new stresses. Because maybe you grow so fast and take on so much work you lose all of your free time.
Or maybe it’s the decisions you have to make with a bigger business - hiring/firing/what to do when things stop working?
So this Thanksgiving, I just wanted to remind you (and myself!) that we are RIGHT where we need to be. If a launch hasn’t taken off, it’s simply not time yet. There’s some reason you aren’t ready for it, even if you believe you are!
We need to remember to be grateful for all the things that have brought us where we are. Our new knowledge. The new friends along the way. Launching that first (or seventh) time. The fact that we now know what a “funnel” is, haha!
These are all big accomplishments to celebrate and be grateful for!
Our journey is ours alone. And we have to go about it OUR way. AND our journey is the best part, because there is no FINAL destination for this work. We don’t get an “A+” and then shut the project down…
We just keep moving forward.
Take some time today and make a list of your business related accomplishments. You can share them below if you’d like, or keep it to yourself. CELEBRATE what you’ve done SO FAR. And take the focus off what you wish had happened….
